The Neurobiological Secrets of Consciousness

The Neurobiological Secrets of Consciousness

All matter originates and exists only by virtue of a force. . . We must assume behind this force the existence of a conscious and intelligent Mind. This Mind is the matrix of all matter.” — Max Planck, 1944

With advances in scientific research, we’ve come closer to understanding the mechanisms behind consciousness.

Researchers tend to focus on the neurobiology of consciousness, describing the experience as the brain’s subjective processing of reality. We’ve seen breakthroughs in consciousness through the work conducted by molecular biologist and Nobel laureate Francis Crick, but it stopped short when he decided to focus on the mysteries of DNA instead. Ironically, we are learning that consciousness is not relegated to the brain alone, but that our DNA itself may hold secrets to consciousness. [1]

The study of epigenetics is showing – in reverse – how consciousness affects DNA – but is it possible that DNA itself is one of the carriers of consciousness? [2] It may sound like sci-fi, but we are moving energetic entities communicating with every living thing through packages of light called photons.

A recent MIT Technology Review admits that neurons in the brain emit and attract photons, possibly synchronizing the brain’s brainwave patterns and neural networks. But there’s another fascinating aspect to photonic light. [3]

Experiments in DNA have shown that we have an energy body that emits photons – the quantum stuff that allows us to communicate with all other material things in the Universe and thus would allow consciousness on a grand scale.  Russian scientist Vladimir Poponin and Peter Gariaev conducted a study called the “DNA Phantom Effect” in which they essentially proved that DNA was emitting and drawing in photons from objects around it, orchestrating how photonic light organized itself within a vacuum.

The photons began inside the vacuum randomly dispersed, and seemingly chaotic, but the moment human DNA was introduced, the photons began to organize in a coherent fashion. It is important to note that there is currently nothing in quantum science that sufficiently explains this phenomenon. [4]

Poponin stated the importance of this finding in the opening of his paper, “We believe this discovery has tremendous significance for the explanation and deeper understandings of the mechanisms underlying subtle energy phenomena including many of the observed alternative healing phenomena.”

When we join what we’ve learned about this discovery, what neuroscientists have observed about photons being emitted from neurons, and what epigeneticists have discovered about the power to alter our DNA with thought, a whole world of consciousness development and understanding opens to us.

It seems that the mystery of light – the quantum stuff of the Universe – is the medium through which we influence our minds and our realities.
